The Bruns Eco Village is an exciting project that seeks to provide affordable and secure housing for a community with facilities catering for intergenerational living.
Ideally located between Brunswick Heads and Mullumbimby NSW, the former dairy site has been extensively analysed to take into account bushfire and flooding constraints, important habitat and vegetation areas.

From this analysis, a Land Use Concept Plan was developed designating areas for Natural Habitat, Residential cluster housing, Food growing, Educational, Transport focused industries and a renewable solar /wind farm.

The aim is to provide employment, health and educational opportunities for community members within the site whilst also allowing these facilities to be accessible to the public.
Housing is to be designed in clusters around common facilities allowing for flexibility to accommodate visiting friends and family members, with a central whole of community precinct for meeting, eating and well-being.

Pedestrian, vehicular and transport connections have been well thought out to maximise pedestrian and pushbike access whilst minimising conflict with vehicles within the site
