Lorien Novalis Masterplan 1984 – present
Lorien Novalis commenced as a Primary School and like many Steiner schools grew incrementally one class at a time. When the adjoining site was purchased the plan was updated to include secondary school facilities. The different form language of the kindergarten clusters, primary school embrace and the high school avenues emerged from an appreciation of child’s changing soul life.
The high school underwent a major redesign in 2007 to accommodate additional facilities and locate the buildings further away from the bush and potential bush fire source. This established the location of the high school buildings that were constructed as part of a combined BGA / BER grant in 2010.
The recent purchase of an additional 2.2Ha parcel of land to the north will now allow for much needed sporting facilities and the capacity to provide significant agricultural and environmental programs.
