A natural evolution with our BJA logo redesign

Logo Design for Manly Architects and Byron Bay Architects

We’re excited to unveil our new logo! This refreshed design is a reflection of our evolution as an architectural firm and our commitment to innovative, sustainable design.

The inspiration behind the new logo design of Baxter & Jacobson Architects

Our original logo was inspired by the fundamental elements of architecture, and our rejuvenated logo expresses our culture too. It embraces the spirit of living as an individual, a family and as a community for the greater good. Architecture, represented as an agile free form with a strong foundation, a protective roof, and the dynamic negative space in between where life unfolds. Another angle to this; Master Planning, represented as an overhead view of undulating landscapes where nature’s flow, shapes how we inhabit an flourish with our environments. This concept of living architecture, rooted in the three-foldness of buildings, has always been at the core of our design philosophy.

The need for a modern refresh

As the digital landscape has evolved, we recognised the need to adapt our logo to better suit contemporary media environments. The goal was to maintain the essence of our original design while enhancing its readability and visual impact.

A collaborative creative process

With our creative marketeer on board to lead the redesign process, we worked closely with Creative Hub to explore various design iterations. The new logo is the result of a collaborative effort that involved careful consideration of form, function, and symbolism.

The significance of the new design

The new logo incorporates a central element that symbolises stability and focus, while the surrounding forms evoke a sense of movement and dynamism. This interplay of stillness and motion reflects the balance that we achieve in our architectural projects – past, present and future.

While our logo may have changed, our commitment to design excellence and delivering exceptional architectural solutions remains unwavering. We continue to draw inspiration from the natural world, contemporary art, and the unique challenges of each project.
