The annual Shearwater showcase presents a great opportunity for student designers and community alike, to express creativity and experience the culture of the Shearwater Rudolf Steiner School.

With over 200 students participating in last year’s event, Baxter & Jacobson Architects proudly supported last year’s winning designs, including the Winner of Creative Use of Materials. And, this year, we’re supporting this exciting award again – it’s Déjà vu! May the creativity continue for 2024!

For many of the student designers of wearable art, the ideation and crafting takes place in the classrooms of Shearwater Steiner Secondary School.

Baxter & Jacobson are the Master Planners of the Shearwater Rudolf Steiner School and their architecture extends into the learning environments across the kindergarten, primary and high school buildings. The class rooms, each with covered courtyards, are designed to allow students the use of indoor and outdoor classroom spaces. This contributes to a student’s sense of creative freedom – an essential for the pedagogy of Rudolf Steiner.
