This project provides a two and four bedroom group home for Warrah Society residents, implemented under governments program to devolve institutional accommodation into community housing. Completed in 2015 the home provides opportunity for a richer lifestyle and a greater degree of autonomy for residents within an urban context.

We designed generous ceiling volumes and dynamic and varied colours n spaces that strike a balance between privacy and social interaction. A carer commented that if an “incident” occurred it was not overly disruptive.   The design is fully accessible, includes Photovoltaic roof panels and reverse brick veneer walls to provide thermal mass.
