Large recycled hardwood wharf timbers were used in this renovation by an owner who is also a practicing builder. The design creates generously proportioned north-facing kitchen, dining and living area at the rear of the house.
The street elevation was transformed with a careful use of materials and textures. BJA planned a second storey extension in 2009.
